Terrible experience with UNC billing department at this location!! I spent several months trying to correct a billing error which ended up costing me almost $4,000. I received audiology services and hearing aids in early 2024, paid for the clinic service up front, and was told the balance would be billed to my insurance. Called to see about an appointment. The lady just kept repeating you need to establish care and get a referral. Asked her who I needed to call in regards to that. And she repeated that same phrase. When asked if she was actually in office or in a call center since she clearly could not give me the information requested (the audiologists office phone number) she hung up in my face. Took so long to get through to her and by that time they were already closing so I couldn't call back to get the information I need.
They provide high-quality hearing aids with warranties.
They do not answer the phone -- I recently waited 30 minutes on hold before giving up. And one cannot leave a call-back message (although the out going message says to do it). Frustrating to say the least.And this has been going on for quite a while.
