After going to the UNC school of dentistry for an x-ray (who were great), they sent us to the oral surgery floor where they thought they could fit us in. Seven hours after checking in, at closing time, they still had not seen my daughter for a broken tooth and we were forced to walk out. if I could give them zero stars I would.
I want to start by saying the registration staff and nurses were genuinely kind, patient, and supportive throughout this experience. They were the bright spot in an otherwise very stressful situation. However, there were several serious concerns with my son’s oral surgery experience that I feel other families, especially caregivers of individuals with special needs, should be aware of. Disagree with all the negative reviews. Yes the wait times are long, but Dr. Blakey is the best. He knows what he’s doing.
rude staff wouldn’t let me go back after explaining im the only one who knows what wrong with his teeth. lady was rude and talked over me and raised her tone.
Disagree with the very negative posts above. I do not have any experience with the ladies they mention, but I can say that my overall experience in the last 30 years with the UNCCH Dental Faculty Practice has been positive. Yes the wait times are long. But I have never had a complaint about the quality of the work performed there.
