Dr. Rom Ferre is & was God sent to me. Recently, diagnosed. I am still in awe of Dr. Rom's professionalism, empathy and character. Believe "you me" I have had my share of medical officers here in Durham NC that shuffled me from doctor to doctor to fool me as if progress was being made. Duke is the worst. Dr. Rom Ferre is a doctor that is sincere in his actions and with his patients. He makes absolute certain his patients understand his explanations of their health & he's a great communicator. As I go through my upcoming trea... read more

I was trying to be seen here due to Wilmington to Jacksonville had terrible services for us cancer patients. My genetics counselor suggested with my two genetic mutations, 1 parent deceased and 1 parent riddled with cancer, she suggested I come here especially with my braca2 mutation and having bc in both my breasts at 40 years old. Well, the new patient intake person NEEDS to be relocated to a different department, or she NEEDS more training. Over 2 months I have tried to be seen. I contacted my intake specialist 5 times wi... read more

UNC is the worst medical center in every aspect of medical care. They have the worst radiology department (NC 55 Cary ), The mammogram technicians or whatever you call those humans who have no idea how to take a mammogram without nearly killing you by their torturous method. This person did not even check to see my previous reports that I had a pacemaker (which she conveniently saw after the procedure). She told me that I should have told her before she put me in hell. As i was screaming in pain, while she tried to place me ... read more

My experience has been very positive. I have had mammograms annually for 20+ years. Last year I was diagnosed with DCIS … every step of the way I was treated with respect and kindness. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience in the mammogram department (including a biopsy), then surgery and radiation. I highly recommend.
