*edited* At first I gave this clinic 5 stars. However, I received the letter about the investigation after my complaint. I had issue with 1 person, the nurse who said it was anxiety. They didn’t find any wrongdoing and basically called my husband and I liars. I’ve been in medicine my entire adult life and my husband is a detective. I had a very bad experience here, but I’m giving them 5 stars. Let me tell you why: bad things can happen, that’s the risk a patient takes with surgery. What matters is how it was handled. I’m happy with my overall care. Here’s the story: I walked in and was greeted by friendly staff. Registration was so sweet to me. My pre-op team was sweet and did an amazing job. I only gave UNC 2 stars because of a security guard who deserves 10+ stars. First patient registration rep - didn't want to be at work, gave me wrong info. Another patient registration rep yelled at me twice. I'd be shocked by this normally but this is UNC so completely normal behavior for their employees to be abusive and lazy. I had never been there before at this ambulatory center. Almost left without getting my doctor-ordered rads.
Appointment should not start at 5:30 am if the building does not open till 545 am! Bad patient care. Also, there is no security! If you want, the 5:30am clinic opens at 5! Don’t be cheap UNC!!!!!!
