Every time I come here I have an amazing experience. I had the privilege of hosting an event at Umana a few years ago. The entire staff of was super helpful. Can't say enough about the ambiance, exactly the kind of place for a nice date or a glass of wine with friends. The food, simply invigorating. One of the many gems in the Capital Region.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I am a vegan foodie, and my work allows me to travel the world. This is a worldly restaurant right in our own backyard. Food is great, and it is a place I can take my vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends and know that we will all have something delicious and creative on our plate. The atmosphere is beautiful, the servers are super kind, and the owner is a visionary.
The food is good. But nothing impressive. The service, mediocre at best. Our waitress was rude when I asked for a glass of ice with my water. Then we waited forever for our drinks because she was chatting up a friend at the bar. Also, the prices are steep for how little food is given. I thought for the price the biscuits would be smothered in gravy but it was more like a drizzle. Definitely not a place I'd rush back to.
