I’m a picky sushi eater. I was craving sushi and new to north county. Tried Umai and was overly impressed by the quality of food for such an affordable price. The ingredients in the sushi was very fresh and tasty. I recommend Umai sushi to anyone who loves sushi like I do. :)

There is just something special about this place and the food Chris and the other chefs prepare. And they are so much fun too!
Tangy Mango roll was my favorite. fresh sliced mango with mango mousse was sublime. lemon roll was also a personal favorite.

We have been to many sushi places. Umai Sushi & Noodles has become our favorite. Their speciality rolls are amazing. Jungle Fever and the Panda roll are some of the best Tuna rolls you can find. The home made cilantro sauce is the perfect fusion blend for a SoCal / Japanese experience in San Diego County hands down. It's a must try when visiting. Service is always top notch and super friendly. If you have not tried Umai, it's time.
