RecommendedGreat night with friends. Loved the food and our server!
The food here is delicious, our little girls love the karaage and calamari. The poke salad has tasty greens as well as tuna, and the sushi rolls are great too. Definitely try the tempura green tea ice cream! Staff is very friendly and super fast. On a very busy Friday night, we were seated quickly and had food on the table shortly after ordering.
Will not return. Was so noisy couldn’t hear our server. Asked for my salad to be brought out with my husband’s appetizer they brought my entree before my salad. Food was just okay not great.
Great food, awesome staff, friendly atmosphere, will be missing this place until I go again. Great place to meet up for family and friends.

Umai is the best sushi I have ever had! I frequently come here because the food is great, the drinks are delicious and the staff are amazing. The owner, Feng is very attentive, wants to make sure that everyone is having a great experience and will do everything in her power to make sure your visit won't be your last. Job well done down in the rural part of Elk Grove. We are happy there is a nice restaurant nearby!
Excellent service and delicious dishes at reasonable prices. The server, Andrew, took care of our party of 12 doing a fantastic friendly job. The owner, Shawn, sat down with our party and became a part of the party and offered saki shots on the house. Excellent food and great ambiance.
A top favorite: best bar, food, service! Umai is locally owned, beautifully appointed; a great place for both family and friends. We LOVE Umai.
