Referral made. Took 6 weeks and 3 polite phone calls to get a response. Good thing the potential patient didn't have cancer. The reception gave the same stock answer - we'll send it over to the admin for review but admitted they never did anything until the last time. Got a call back within a couple hours - we can't take your case. We have too many. The truth was, they don't like patients who speak up. Good thing it isn't cancer.
Dr. Mahadevan is brilliant and compassionate. Her bedside manner is exceptional. She puts her patient’s best interest above all else. She works to coordinate and refer the best surgeons (even if the surgeon isn’t at UCSF) and specialists in the field to achieve wellness for her patient. Her team is also attentive and caring.The office is very busy but they manage to return calls and follow-up as promised.
