I wish I had read more reviews before hiring Ultra. I’ll start with the one positive: their design ideas were impressive. Out of the three companies we interviewed, Ultra’s vision stood out above the rest. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. We were promised a six-to-eight-week turnaround. Instead, the project dragged on for eight months. What was supposed to be a $200,000 job ended up costing us another $10,000–$15,000 just to fix the mistakes they left behind. Let’s be clear: we did tell them. And after everything, they even asked for their remaining balance. Absolutely not that shows this is nothing but an attempt to save face. A flood does not take as long as they claim, and their excuses do not add up. You will never step foot in my house again. I would rather pay someone $100,000 than ever work with you again. Do not use this company. They took almost 1 year to complete our build. Failed half the inspections with the city. Plaster in the pool had to be repaired within 4 months of water in the pool. Coping on half the pool popped up after 6 months then again less then 2 years and they won’t warranty the poor workmanship. They messed up the fire pit area which ended up having to raise the floor so we lost our seating space. Had benches already built that couldn’t be used anymore. Engaged with Ultra Custom Pools ("UCP") in 4Q’20 to design our dream backyard. We signed a contract with UCP on March 3, 2021. The sales process was seamless and the design was perfect and engagement/communication was high, we were spending $140k. Our project consisted of a phased approach with an overall plan, goal to complete the pool and then stub out a fireplace with gas/electrical line and outdoor bathroom with plumbing for a toilet, sink and shower with electrical.
