Awesome mma class – I was way standoffish at first to try mma but the guy teaching the class there was so laid back and chill about it I decided to try it! It was fun even for a girl and probably the best overall workout I ever had in an hour!:)these guys have the best physiques and conditioning I've ever seen on any athletes and its amazing how humble they are. The teachers name was Bobby Wear ill be back to see him.
Horrible Customer Service... – This place has horrible customer service. I wanted to find out about the prices and classes offered. They made me feel stupid for asking. They first quoted me $120 per month/ per class then 3 other prices. I wanted to know what per month/ per class meant and he caught a attitude with me. I don't know if they only want a certain demograhic to join but the 2 men that were at the front desk lost a client
Real martial arts instruction – Ultimate gym offers no-nonsense, real martial arts instruction with no BS. The owner, Doug, is a straight up guy and I like how he runs the gym. He doesn't play games with convoluted contracts and 'initiation fees' and the BS that other martial arts schools do. Ultimate Gym is geared towards real fighters. Have to see it to believe it! – After visiting for the first time from a friends recommendation, I was surprised that a place like this existed in Charlotte. I felt like I was in a Rocky movie. Kind of a rough neighborhood, but I think that was probably on purpose b/c it really fits the grittyness of the gym. Fight nights are pretty cool too.
