**BEWARE OF RACIAL PROFILING** On March 14, 2025 after 5/6 PM, I witnessed a woman being racially profiled. When I arrived at Ulta, I noticed three police officers standing in front of the store with a woman of color. I immediately sensed that something was wrong. I walked in and heard the cashier whispering. I stood by the front display to review the sales poster when I saw a police officer enter the store. I went to the salon for a simple wet haircut, but they told me I'd be charged extra because I have "textured" hair. I would understand if I were getting a specialized curly cut or seeing a stylist who specializes in cutting curly hair. However, charging extra just because my hair is wavy--like 2C wavy--feels unreasonable. It sends the message that the salon isn't inclusive of different hair types and textures, making clients with anything other than straight hair feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed. Bad hair coloring, over charged, the stylist talked way to much during my appointment that she ruined my hair. I came in with little to no split ends, length past the middle of my back and I left with my hair fried at the ends, with some breakage, and thin small ugly highlights. WASTE OF MONEY.

The Monrovia location is lacking in my opinion because they do not have any employees on the floor, so you have to go to the front if you have any questions.
