This office is almost impossible to deal with, I have contacted them several times to make appointments for my boss. If your business is that busy you need to either cut back on appointments or expand your staff. The staff is ill-informed, rude and slow. I was given the wrong fax number by their office, and after leaving a message for "Jamie" in the morning and finally receiving a call back at the end of the workday, she was rushed, snippy and overall kind of rude and unhelpful. Dr. Ullery used to be a great doctor. Over the years he has become less accessable and his office staff less helpful. He managed to misdiagnose my daughters illness for over a year and she ended up having emergency surgery. When she asked for help from him and his staff they told her to call around and find her own surgeon or go to the emergency room. MIchael is a great doctor. Caring and proactive. He doesnt wait for you to get sick. He wants you to stay well. Since several doctors share the space, the office feel very big and clinicy. However, once you get inside, you discover that Michael has a few rooms and he is willing to take time to listen. The nurses will warn you that he does require promptness for his appointments. I appreciate this because it means he runs on time and doesnt make his patients wait.
Im sorry but Doctor Ullery may have gone some through some changes in the last 23 years Ive been seeing him but I still find him to care about me and my family very much and does make the time for us (yes when we can get into him, although worth the wait). I think people forget that medicine is a practice and if you dont go in with your questions and concerns doctors cannot read you mind.As for Nancy Bender NP she may not come off overly friendly but she really is amazing and cares more than you may thinnk. Ive never met a doctor who is in such a hurry to get you out of his office. That is, IF you actually get to see Dr. Ullery. It seems like he is always 2-3 weeks out on appointments, but you can see his nurse practitioner, who is pretty useless herself.Dr. Ullery LOVES to run tests and refer to people "down the hall" to Sacramento Scan. They must have a sweetheart deal worked out. My insurance is greatly depleted, I did not get sound medical advice, and now Ive got a new doctor that I love. Thanks for nothing Dr. Ullery!
I have been a patient for 20 years. I have definitely seen a decline in service and care. One has to do with the woman who is currently his clerical assistant. She is an awful control freak and very unkind. She represents him and I wouldnt want anyone like her anywhere near my business (he needs another Patty). Secondly, visits are now just 5.5 nanoseconds. A great guy! He helped clear my acne scars and gave me a discount. He showed true concern in treating my acne scars. He didnt rush when he seen me and he not only tried but succeded in clearing my skin but also made every attempt to save me money. I refer him anytime someone tells me, WOW you have great skin, what do you use. So, I say I have a secret weapon and I just give out his name and number. He is a true blessing.
