Great resource. People need to understand the difference between non-urgent, urgent, and emergent.
I don’t mince words w/ healthcare providers. It costs too much to tolerate poor quality. Sycamore is my go-to QuickCare location bc they earned it by being better. They saved my life. Since Iowa doesn’t have real community health centers, QuickCare bears a lot of the primary care burden. Just remember to check on the website to see if your issue is something they can help with, make an appointment online, and avoid peak times to see a provider sooner.
Its not quick at all, they took their time talking in the office instead of treating me, it took me 1 hour for doctors to get me in a room while it was not full, and I had to wait for them to come back in the room for 30-50 mins.
The staff is friendly and with all due respect but if there are things they cannot do it is better to say it before entering and being indebted to something you already know. Thank you for your kindness.
Interactions with caregivers was decent, but the cost of the care is outrageous. Daughter went for evaluation of sinus / respiratory infection. Clinic performed a couple of tests - Covid ($219) and flu ($482) and charged $393 for the office visit. Total of $1,094 to be told tests are negative and there's nothing we can prescribe for your illness. No pricing transparency before or during the visit.
