I went in to the ER on Saturday 22nd for breathing problems and chest pain. All tests did comeback negative but I do have and had have COPD forever 10yrs.. I know when it gets aggrivated and need to be in the hosipital lor just a few days for the IV antibiotics. well they SENT me HOME still sick and then I contacted my pulmonoligist she wasnt pleased they sent me home and not admit me, she sent me some antibiotic and predisone SINCE I AM STILL SICK...THE ER DOV NEVER NEVER LISTEN TO ME...tHE ONE WHO DISCHARED ME TOLD I WAS S... read more

My experience at UHS ER and orthopedic surgery were exceptional. After a very bad fall, I went to the ER and was quickly triaged and seen by orthopedic doctor, Dr. Axelrod, for evaluation. She promptly ordered x-rays. ER nurses kept me as comfortable as possible while I waited for results. Next I consulted with an excellent and experienced orthopedic trauma surgeon, Dr. David Leu, and PA Jeff Avery. They immobilized my arm and scheduled me for surgery the next morning. Please go elsewhere. Maybe new management but the level of care is unacceptable. Extra long wait times and the providers are rejects from other facilities.

They treat you differently depending on your insurance, like every other state. I've been here 3 times with the same problem. The first 2 times I was taken to an patient exam area and had tests run from there. I was given pain medication and a bed to lay on. My 3rd visit is when I gave them my medicaid card. They made me wait in the waiting area (medicaid holding pen)for 10 hours, no food, otc pain medication and random blood work and imaging. Always being returned to the "medicaid holding pen".
