I called for a PET SCAN self paid, they quoted me $8021.70 which is very expensive for a PET SCAN, but they were able to accommodate me the next business day. After a week I receive a bill for $5088.18 additional, and they charged the insurance $35,614.12. Can someone please explain how they can just send me a bill for $5088.18 after they quoted me $8021.70, I had to pay it before they performed any service, and charge the insurance $35,614.12, Really UM DORAL $48,724 for a PET SCAN is so abusive. Thank you to my nurse Nicole Diaz in pre op for being very kind and professional. I’m always nervous going to the Dr. and she was really good at calming me down and distracting me. Also thank you to Dr. Hui for her kindness and for answering any questions.
I had to wait an hour and a half before even getting my vital signs checked. I went back to the clinic a few days later to pick up some paperwork and the doctor and nurse refused to help
