I use the lab at the Avon ,Ohio facility. They are the nicest bunch of people always friendly, always kind never abrupt.
I need to have a blood test done in the lab. Since today is July Fourth, I called to check on availability. The lab wasn’t answering, so I reached the operator. She didn’t even know that the entire facility was closed today. I drove up there early this morning and found it completely closed. I also did reach the national call in number as the lab wasn’t answering taken over by Quest Diagnostics. The nation help desk lady knew as much as was on the website. Didn’t know it would be closed. What a lot of help!!!!
Quest Diagnostics sucks !!! UH made a terrible decision moving all labs and diagnostics to Quest. A simple 2 minute internet search will show you what a terrible company this is. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous - it was never like this when UH ran in it.
Went for heart CT. Prior to making appointment I asked about any funds needing to be paid and was told if any they would bill me. Drove a hour to the appointment, walked into an office that was freezing and had space heaters scattered around, office smelled horrible and was very dirty. As check in started they informed me I needed to pay them 900.00! I was in shock and asked what for. They stated I have a 1000.00 deductible.
