They couldn't produce a simple insurance form for my agent when asked and instead would rather hassle her and my business. They refused to give me a reason for this when I called or even speak to me. I would not recommend this company to anyone ever.
Stay away. Terrible company to deal with. They will not even pretend to be fair when suffering a total loss. They will find the cheapest comparable in the country, lie about the options it has and offer you that dollar amount and not budge one penny.
My shop was hammered with hail on October 22nd, of 2023. UFG sent an appraiser who was physically unable to inspect my roof herself. She brought along a 20 something year old as her "expert". They also rode to my shop together. Seems a little strange for an "independent" appraiser to ride to the inspection with the appraiser. If you see UFG attempt to use a service called LadderNow or SEEKNOW I suggest you demand an independent appraiser of your own. SEEKNOW works for UFG against you. This kid knew nothing about roofs. Patrick an adjuster for UFG offered up a theory to deny my claim that is still making me lol. These guys are underhanded, penny pinchers that live off of lies and deceit. Their insured has no moral character, just as UFG has no moral compass. Birds of a feather flock together
