Horrible wait time of 12 hours. Some other poor folks had been there longer than us! If you have an emergency, would not recommend!
Because this ER has to accept ANYONE who walks through the door, people who truly need attention wait, for example, FIFTEEN HOURS in a packed waiting room full of people who should be seen at an urgent care or primary care but now use the ER as their personal doctor. So an immunocompromised patient (whose UF doctor was too lazy to do a direct admit for treatment so had to go via the ER) in need of a room for treatment gets shuttled to the bottom of the list while people with sore knees or a headache get seen in the overcrowd... read more
This place is in need of new management or something. Staff are very nasty, unprofessional, and rude. The waiting room slammed full. People waiting for more than 6 hours just in the waiting room alone. They are quick to stick you, which I think is just to mess with you and make you think you have to stay. Do not let that full you! We decided to leave and the nurse snatched the iv line out of my loved one. The environment was nasty, very dirty for a hospital and the security staff were loud and extremely unprofessional.
