The staff at the MRI department at Shands Hospital was really great on my last visit. Valerie at the front desk was really sweet & professional during check-in and check-out. Zury was excellent when assisting the nurse with getting my IV started. Not only did Zury do that, but she along with David who was really nice as well helped prep me for my MRI which made me feel like I was in good hands. Wife went in this morning for the "Egg Test". When we left they gave us no information on possible side effects. Shortly after getting home she developed severe dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea. I called the radiology dept and they just blew me off, saying it just doesn't happen. I checked well known medical web sites and they clearly stated that these symptoms are indeed entirely possible. So...the person I spoke with was either ignorant or lying. Watch your back!
Do not waste your time calling this number. No one will answer and no one will return your call back number. You would stand a better chance just walking in. Also your doctor's staff would be glad to transfer you to this none working scheduling number. Zero Stars Ha you have to give 1 Star to post.
Today I went in for a CT and Nuclear ultrasound and when this one Lady was helping me off the CT she used the sheet and pulled me up that way. She pulled me up so fast my blood pressure was down and I was about to pass out! I already have stenosis in my back and my backbones are all messed up and my back cracked which caused more pain if I ever have to go do it again I won't be going there!
I want to sincerely thank the incredible MRI staff at Shands, located across from the pediatric ER, for the exceptional care they provided on 7/21. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, kind, and truly compassionate toward my daughter, who has Down syndrome. They went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable—giving her the chance to try the test independently, empowering her with confidence and dignity.
