I saw Dr. Lauren Fanty. She was very nice but she didn’t seem to know anything. Then the appointments they give you are always six months apart. Terrible experience for me.
Dr Chalouhi and the Shands Neurosurgery staff saved me from Paralysis. I had a severe AVM Fistula that was choking my spinal cord in multiple places. It had grown into my spinal cord. Another Dr. in Tallahassee had tried to fix it but could not. Thank God my Wife took me to Shands and Dr. Chalouhi. He removed the fistula from my spinal cord and I can walk without a cane some days now. Shands has the BEST healers around!
I had an appointment since October 3rd. Its Now Jan 27 and my appointment is GONE! Hell, its even in my after visit summary its today. Guess I get to wait a few more months to find out results of my two ct's and an mri and xrays. You call THERE its a joke. Like your talking to a circus. They dont ever know anything and they certainly don't help. Ill have them call you. Ill believe that when I see it. So im sitting and waiting. I went in to get my back looked at for a second time. They proceeded to tell me I had no imaging done there when I have an account with them that says there's MRI images done. I met with the doctor for about 10 minutes where he did not help me at all and only recommended physical therapy after I told him the first time I did it it made my injury worse. They then proceeded to charge me over $600. Do not go here.
Hospital is a joke. The staff are clueless and you can tell all the care about is money. Nothing but valet parking if your handicapped you'll never find a spot. They will send you directions and when you click them it takes you about 45 minutes away from the hospital itself so you'll be nice and late if you use their directions link in your appointment reminder. Hands down worst hospital I've ever been in.
