UF Health Eye Center EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE - paid over $19,000 for standard cataract surgery, they are still looking for more $$$$ - billing dept. very difficult to work with and given the run around for months. Buyer beware, go elsewhere, many other competent eye care facilities without the excessive cost and aggravation - would not recommend -
Not where you want to go! After checking in I was directed to the checkout/payment window to prepay for my appointment since I do not have insurance and am self pay. You would think that they would want patients like me but after waiting more than an hour for my appointment I asked if there was a problem and was told I would be seen soon. 30 minutes later I was finally called and taken into an exam room where the tech told me that I had never been properly checked in which is why I had not been called back sooner.
