I would personally like to thank the Amazing Doctors 👏 and Superb Staff 👌 here at the UF Department of Neurosurgery in Gainesville, FL for giving my dad HOPE. From start to finish, they handled and arranged just about everything. Everyone was so friendly, nice, and welcoming. These people REALLY CARE and will do their VERY BEST to help cure and heal you. I would like to speak with the head of this department before placing my comments. Ok. So I called and was told someone would return the call within 24 hours. Here it it 4 days later and no returned call. I have an appointment in about 6 weeks. I will edit this comment afterward.
I was having balance issues caused by an arachnoid cyst. I was told by a neurosurgeon in Chicago to try physical therapy. I snowbird in FL, so tried PT first, I was progressing well until my last week. I was on a exercise bike for 5 minutes and tried walking to the PT area and couldn't make it. My balance was lost again as if I never took PT. I was admitted to Shands and Dr. Decker performed an operation to drain the cyst and was successful. I never had surgery in my life and was extremely happy with all aspects of my care!
