Ucsf has been an awful experience over the years. They had insurance negotiations ongoing so couldn't tell me if they would accept my insurance during the new year so I switched to kaiser. I switched back because of insurance changes. I have no dedicated doctor. I ask multiple people about a program they have a dedicated website for and they don't know what I'm talking about! Every time I try to get an apt here, because I have Tricare, I’m told that i need a referral from PCP. Because finding a PCP with frequent moves is a nightmare, I pay more out of pocket to have tricare Select, which does not require referrals. Still I’m told this office requires a referral, they refuse to schedule, yet each time I try to establish care with PCP I’m told they’re not accepting new patients. I was recommended this place because my pregnancy was extremely high risk and my goal was avoiding a c section. Although, I was unable to avoid a c section, I felt like I had been given the ability to make an informed decision verses other doctors I had seen throughout my pregnancy. My surgery was uneventful and the staff were beyond kind and compassionate. I've never seen such in a hospital setting especially during emergency surgery. My child's birth went amazing!
