My post hysterectomy appointment for the gynecology dept. Was scheduled a month ago. This clinic has been told verbally that the Medical transport company takes me to all my appointments and if UCSF gynecology plans to reschedule any of my in person appts. After years of struggling with stage 4 endometriosis, Dr. Wenjia Zhang scheduled me for a total hysterectomy (upon request as I wanted everything except my ovaries removed) in Dec 2023. My experience with Dr. Zhang and her team has been nothing less than phenomenal. I had a treatment denied as not medically necessary by my insurance but it seems like the team at UCSF Urogynecology never actually requested the peer-to-peer review with my insurance that might make the treatment covered for me. Then, the person who was handling my case at the urogynecology office seems to have gone on leave without transferring my case to anyone else. Updated review to 3 stars because they began to work with me to get my treatment authorized.
