Ridiculously overwhelmed ER. If you don’t have a knife sticking out of your head forget it. Go to Alta bates or Kaiser. Here it’s guaranteed hours and hours in a chair feeling awful and uncertain of any care
I stayed here for 7 hours because of kidney infection and they did not got my blood test results come out same day- I just wait and wait from morning 10am to afternoon 5pm. Overall I got IV to treatment and they prescribed me cephalexin for oral treatment and let me go home - the medicine is not effective enough I took but and it got severe at next day. Back pain got worse I went to another ER and they changed my medication to a strong antibiotic they I started to get better.
Revised review. This emergency department is run like we are living in some war-torn country with outrageous wait times. One bathroom is backed up and not usable, there is only one empty seat left in the waiting room g room so don’t arrive and expect to sit with your companion. Doctors coming out discussing health matters in the waiting room in front of everyone. Isn’t that against the law?
By far the worst choice for an ER, avoid at all costs. I’m not even sure how this place qualifies as an emergency room; it feels like there must be some loophole in the healthcare regulations allowing it to operate. This is already the most expensive healthcare system in the world, and this facility is at the very bottom of it.
