BEWARE! This clinic has near criminal billing rates. My simple skin prick allergy test was billed at $1300!!! Thats about $1000 over typical rates. After insurance I owe almost $900. I waited an eternity for the appt too. Our system is broken and places like this are responsible. STAY AWAY
First, I scheduled an appointment in December 2024 and the first available was September 2025. Second, two weeks before my appointment I received a message on MyChart saying that the appointment will cost me $2600. After insurance. Now obviously that’s not the office’s fault, but I called to ask more about the cost. The receptionist was completely useless. She said they didn’t send the message. Horrible experience. Facing a $1700 bill after getting a $0 estimate (after co-pay), after waiting 6 months for an appointment. UCSF Allergy and Immunology is an in-network provider with my Cigna PPO. Ahead of my testing, I got an estimate from UCSF for a $50 copay and zero out of pocket. They said they called Cigna and confirmed. I cross checked and confirmed on the Cigna website.
