Get directionsWent to the ER July 7th at 11:40 PM and sat in the waiting room until 4 AM. They finally put me in a room, but I sat there for another hour with no nurse coming in, no updates, nothing. I ended up leaving. What bothered me the most was seeing staff standing around talking, laughing, and gossiping while patients were waiting for care. I understand ERs get busy, but people come there because they need help and deserve to feel like they’re being taken seriously. Got home and checked my chart… it took them 2 hours to even notice... read more
I had such a wonderful and reassuring experience here. I’ve been in a health crisis these past few months and I’ve unfortunately been to the ER quite a few times. This was my first time trying UConn and my fear is always that doctors won’t take me seriously seeing my frequent visits in my chart. First off, I got in right away and did not have to wait at all because they took my situation urgently. I was able to get checked right away. The staff was very friendly and professional. The CAT Scan part of the visit took a very long time from prep to results. Overall I wish I could give a 4.5 star rating. Definitely worth a trip instead of using Hartford local hospitals
Got into a bad accident. If you care about your life do not go here. #1-failed to diagnose me with a concussion #2-put me on a muscle relaxer despite having a concussion, and should be being monitored for alertness #3-put me on a muscle relaxer that lowers blood pressure despite the fact that I suffer from POTS, which is blatant on my record #4-put adhesive on me despite having a recorded allergy-when I told the guy who put it on me that I’m allergic he said oh just take it off. Basic care would be to remove it for me and cl... read more
My prior review about a buprenophrine patch being on my medication list as a reckless error nobody would address, triggered a phone call from a woman at UCONN. My ER trip was a waste of time because of it. I have been told by their security team, that the “patch,” was removed on 5/27/2026. It’s too bad the only recourse was to blab it in a review. It only took 5 months. That’s why the detailed rant I wrote is being replaced with this amendment. Thank you to the woman who saw it wasn’t fair. I appreciate your help.
