Took my husband here when he was severely sick, they gave him some pain meds and lidocaine and sent us on our merry way. Within 24 hours he had gotten so much worse, that he was admitted to a hospital that was actually interested in healing patients. Both the ER nurse and PA at UConn explicitly confirmed that their only job is to make sure patients survive to the parking lot. Do not come to this emergency room if you need actual medical care. Dirty equipment left in the resuscitation room from previous patients shift after shift. Lack of communication. Management is non existent. People just "winging it". Had a doctor tell me she ordered a medication "just for the vibes" CT as a state blows so makes sense your namesake hospital does likewise
