RecommendedThe online classes are amazing. Besides occasionally connectivity issues, I have no complaints. Instructors are doing a great job of adapting workout routines to be done at home. I'm actually working out more than I did pre-quarantine! Thank you for providing these to us free of charge. I hope you'll consider incorporating online classes into your regular scheduling when this is all over.
Speaking as a former student and alumni, this has always been a very poorly-managed Recreation Program, especially given how well other departments at UCLA are run. Especially disturbing is the martial arts program, which is populated with illegitimate, self-promoting "instructors", many of whom do not know what they are doing and are just trying to feed students into their outside personal business. Went to IM Field was told that is closed for clubs but the field was empty for the next two hours...
It was not as great as I was hoping. Not enough time on the courses.
