I was billed over $1100 before insurance, almost $700 after insurance, for a telehealth appointment with my psychiatrist that was basically just a med check-in. "Are the meds still working? Yup? Great." Couldn't have lasted more than 15 minutes. How is this legal? It is unconscionable to gouge a patient for this much money for something so minor. Canceled my appointment without telling me. Told me they had an opening at Culver City location, so I drove 30 minutes to get there. When I arrived they told me that the appointment was canceled and that they didn’t know why and I could call this location I called and they told me that they weren’t familiar with my insurance I asked him why didn’t they call me or email me and they said they sent me a message in the app I do not have. It can take a long time to schedule an appointment if you're a new patient. The two therapists I met were both great. The psychiatrist though...I guess it's ok if you just need someone to manage your medication, because pills seem to be the only things they are happy to give you.
