Free valet parking for the handicapped. Sometimes one or two of the three valet stations closest for emergency vehicles or other reasons and you have to go to another to get the car. Sometimes there's a weight of 5 or 10 minutes to pick up your car. But it is extremely handy.
Parking in in front of the Chao center is a chaotic nightmare! There is no place to wait for patient pickup without people behind you honking their horn or the attendants yelling at you to get into a different lane. There is no signage as to which lane or where to pickup or drop off. I was treated very rudely by the parking lot person as I was waiting to pick up my son after a long day in surgery.
If i could give a minus star i would give it a minus 5.. i've been with UCI for almost 10 years. The parking is outta control. I have a oversize truck and had to park at the other lot because they had no oversize parking that day. I walked 10 minutes each way to my appointment. I got a ticket! No one seems to care about it.
