I went in today to request a check up, the lady at front desk turned me away saying “they don’t do physicals “
All i can say is: AWFUL
Where: Homewood location- On 8/14/2025, I arrived for my appointment and was told I could not be seen and would need to go to another location. The doctor informed me of this from the back of the office, which felt very impersonal. Despite not being seen, I was still charged a $50 copay. When I requested a refund, the front desk staff stated they did not know how to process it. I recently took my daughter here because she was having an anaphylactic reaction from an accidental exposure to nuts. The woman at the front desk was beyond rude and without compassion. She rolled her eyes and was sighing as though we were bothering her. She was also loudly talking to us and exposing our personal information to everyone in the waiting room. the receptionist & intake nurse were both lovely, the actual care itself was lacking… I work in healthcare in the same UChicago system and hold a lot of respect for my colleagues but dang, I walked in to get an infection that’s causing me a lot of pain treated and walked out with zero answers other than following up with my PCP in a week? we both know I can’t get into my PCP in a week when average wait times to see one are 3-6 months.
