Dr. Choudhury and his team have made me feel cared for from the beginning of my care through surgery and after. Walking into the first appointment scared he made sure all my questions were answered and spent time to explain all my options. I felt taken care of and confident during my surgery. My liver team on the 7th floor has truly taken care of me since 2018. My Dr is Amanda Weiland MD Who treats my PSC since 2020. Trevor Nydam MD removed my gallbladder in 2018
This place and these people are truly amazing! I had a liver transplant October 2024 and I have been back a couple times for follow ups and I have always felt taken care of. They always included my husband on anything that was happening and made him feel welcome and not like a burden for asking questions. I was in between this hospital and another one and I am glad I went with my gut because every situation that has come up they have an answer for. I am alive today due to the incredible expertise of this entire team, the donor's families, the donors who agreed to be organ donors prior to their passing, and the love and sacrifice of my incredible wife. I was near death when I was sent to Anschutz. Received a heart and kidney. Now doing great! This is the place to go for your transplant evaluation.
The transplant committee and pre transplant coordinator I had kept giving me different hoops to jump through. The coordinator kept saying I was going before the committee to be approved and then she would come back with something that left me feeling misinformed. She really dropped the ball with my case and made mistakes. This is distressing when you are a young person with a baby sitting and waiting while on dialysis.
