Dr. Stanca Birlea conducted testing and, when no explanation was found, placed a severe psychiatric diagnosis into my medical record without ever providing a psychiatric evaluation. I never spoke to a psychiatrist and had no prior psychiatric history. I only discovered this diagnosis later by requesting my medical records. I saw Stanca due to a systemic condition that also affected my skin. Stanca is a Dermatologist, who then diagnosed me with a severe Psych disorder without affording me a Psych eval or even any conversation with a Psych. She never even told me about her diagnosis, she just decided she had done enough tests. It couldn't have been her failure - right? So, she blamed me. Her notes state that "she - spoke with a Psych". Doctor Birlea seemed nice and I'm sure she's a great person but she's a horrible doctor! She didn't even bother looking at my rash, she asked me a few questions and wrote me a prescription!!!!!!!! I protested! I kept giving her a million reasons why she shouldn't be an hasty and she should actually examine me, hur she didn't, needless to say the prescription hasn't worked. Never waste your time going there!
