During my time as a patient there, which has been approximately four to five years, I have had several issues that I believe are due to a lack of professionalism and competence. Firstly, I asked for a COVID booster, to which I was talked out of by two members of the office (my provider and her assistant) noting reasoning that was not scientifically based or fully supported. Dr Shaffer takes needed time to discuss health issue and provide course of care and treatment. I appreciate the attention and sincere concern she offers.
Doesn’t follow through with her word. Poor patient care!
I was a patient of Dr. Schaffer for over two years, but I would not recommend her. She consistently ran 1-2 hours late for appointments and rarely seemed to know why I was there—even for follow-ups on important tests like blood work, mammograms, and GI concerns. Despite having my results available well in advance, she never brought them up or provided guidance on how to move forward, leaving me to figure things out on my own. Literally have NEVER had one prescription filled on time! The doctors are great, the office staff is completely incompetent & do not care if you run out. They will flat out refuse to refill maintenance medications such as antidepressants, blood pressure & thyroid. I had to reschedule an appointment because my uncle went into a diabetic coma & died. Did they care? Not a bit. Will be finding a doctor with staff that actually cares about their patients.
