If you get sent here, do some research and make sure this place is not an extension of Anschutz rheumatology. And if it is, RUN! RUN! RUN! I didn’t want to put this, but if it means sparing at least one patient from being taken advantage of and put in the detrimental state that i am currently in due to Anschutz’s negligence, than it is totally worth it.
The Cherry Creek location shuttered and the location in Aurora would not take me in and told me I needed to go outside of UC Health and that my referral had been rejected. This was only discovered by me diligently following up. They made no effort to contact me to let me know that I did not have a current doctor within UC Health . I asked for an explanation as to why they wouldn't see Dr. Dau's former patients and got no answer. Very disappointed that now with short notice I have to try and find a new medical team.
Dr. Dau and his office (Esther!) are advocates, medical experts, and compassionate listeners. This clinic specifically changed my life and continues to keep me connected to cutting edge solutions for my rare illness. I am not embarrassed to say I cherish my relationship with Dr. Dau and the clinic. World class care, and I would know. I've been a patient at KU, NYU, TTU, Baylor Houston, and Dell Austin with the same issue. UC is by far the best from my experience. Thank you.
This review pertains to the Cherry Creek Rheumatology clinic as well as the Anschutz Rheumatology clinic and I’ve posted it for both. I can’t believe I’m writing this review for a UC health facility, as nearly all of my doctors are UC Health providers and I’ve had nothing but great experiences with all of them. Dr Dao and the nurse on his care team, Esther, are wonderful. They both listened and made me feel comfortable and heard, which isn't always the case visiting a clinic. They - especially Esther's kindness and thorough communication about any possible delay, etc, made me feel like I won't dread the idea of coming back. Thanks both of you!
