Dr Downey took care of an emergency surgery on my son. My son has just moved to Fort Collins for his freshman year of college and is on his own for the first time. Dr Downey was very communicative with my wife and I as we are over a thousand miles away and could not get there in time for surgery. He is extremely compassionate, competent and professional in his demeanor and surgical technique. My wife and I thank you very much Dr Downey and owe you our deepest gratitude for helping our son in a tough situation.

Dr. Downey repaired my two hernias. From the beginning of this process, he was forthcoming about the entire procedure, proved to be an efficient and skilled surgeon, and has a good sense of humor to calm one's concerns. Dr.Downey performed a double hernia surgery on me. In the pre-surgery consultation, he was very patient explaining in detail the diagnosis, likely procedure and recovery. He answered all of our questions, and noting we had a list asked if we had covered everything. The surgery was text book, post operative he remained in contact though release of care. One of the very finest physicians and professionals I have dealt with. Modest and great sense of humor too.....

Dr. Downey is the best doctor I've ever seen. He performed my surgery without a hitch and the outcome was better than expected. He has excellent bedside manner and explained everything thoroughly and answered every question. Highly recommend!
