While I was in tears dealing with Endometriosis, Cysts, AND Adenomyosis, she assured me that she was going to help me. She failed me. As if the pain of never experiencing my own journey to biological motherhood wasn't enough, during my hysterectomy, she caused severe damage to my colon. Which, in turn, has ruined my life thus far. Dr Hedges is everything you want in an OBGYN and more! My first appointment with her she sat and listened intently to what I was experiencing. She never once has dismissed my symptoms and has done everything she can to make me feel better. She has gone out of her way to find answers for me and makes sure I’m comfortable with every step! Booking out months in advance for new patients but that schedule isn’t even open so new patients can’t even book? Also took forever to talk to someone.
Turned away and told to call Peak Vista when the receptionist Anna, asked what insurance I have. I told her Medicaid. So I asked to speak to a supervisor to find out why the receptionist is discriminating against me as they take Medicaid, new patients snd I have a referral. She hung up on me refusing to allow me to speak to a supervisor.
I transferred to Memorial Central after a long labor at home and was assigned to Dr. Hedges. It was a less than ideal situation and I was nervous about the reception I would receive at the hospital. But as soon as Dr. Hedges walked in the room, all my worries went away. She sat down next to my husband and I and just had a conversation with us, listening intently to all we had to say.
