I have had an amazing experience with this practice thus far. Every single provider I've seen has been compassionate, kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I feel in completely good hands as I continue my pregnancy journey, and am blessed to give birth through UCSD! So far I have seen Nurse Practitioner Roxy, Dr. Meadows, and Dr. Butler and they have each been exceptional. I really have been blown away by each visit. I’ve been under Dr. Deaks care for close to 6 years and I can’t praise her and the entire team here enough.
I’ve been wanting to write this review for a while now, but with a new baby, life has been crazy! I actually heard about Dr. Gillian Mackay through a UCSD nurse who spoke wonders of her. After reading awesome reviews and researching her background, I knew I wanted her as my OB. It was a bit tough to get an initial appointment since she’s so popular, but it was 100% worth it. Vania at the front was so rude and refused to help with a basic request or check in. Please encourage staff to treat people with basic human kindness, especially considering for some, this may already be a traumatic or sensitive visit. The call center has been helpful. Portal messages seem to never make it to the office, or do not get returned.
