I love the people who work here. They’ve been amazing. But the simple fact is, aside from being able to text a doctor anytime you want, (and sometimes not even hearing back), service is the same here as it is everywhere else. You’re allowed to need a little extra, but not more than that. There were times that they got me in quickly which was great. If interested in joining you will wait four weeks to get an introductory meeting with a doctor. Then, if you decide to join, and pay $4K, you have to wait another 1.5 to 2 months to actually see your doctor. You can see any GP in the UCSD system within 1-2 months…I dont see why anyone would pay $4k to wait 3 months to see a doctor. Also, if you want other appointments within UCSD system, you have to book them yourself...not sure what $4k/year actually gets you. This is my second year using UCSD Concierge Medicine, and I've been quite satisfied. My GP is a great "quarterback" for my care and listens to my issues. I get more than the typical 15 minute appointment that I used to have outside of this group. The referrals to other physicians in the UCSD team have gone smoothly. The office staff is very responsive.
