if you aren't already a patient here, don't bother to call. I have a referral from a specialist doctor, just not a UW doctor. Was told I would need UW doctor referral which I suppose I could do, since my main doctor is UW, but seems fundamentally ludicrous. even then, I was told they would only "consider" whether to bother assisting me since apparently the good life of a cushy office medical job where you get paid exorbitant sums for hardly any work is just not of interest and they have a shortage of doctors. maybe I dodged ... read more

haven't see the doctor with whom I have an appt but it's already off to a bad start. I cannot get an answer if my records from another doctor have been received. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now. I can't seem to speak directly to the care team involved so I have left message after message. Without the records, my scheduled appt will be a waste of time. Someone there suggested I BRING the records with me. In 2020, no one should have to hand carry records from one doctor to another.

My experience with this facility has not been positive unlike other UW Medical facilities. The receptionist I encountered at my visit and particularly the one I just spoke with when I called was unpleasant and seemed irritated to provide basic assistance. It has been three weeks since my visit and still no visit notes. I had to call to get the referral for an MRI sent on. The nurse seems to be the exception and has been great. She is the reason I gave any stars.
