The quality of care here is abysmal at best. The doctors truly couldn’t care less about their patients. You have to hound the clinic and call incessantly if you want anything done. I’m supposed to be having 1 single lab drawn before my Skyrizi infusions. This place somehow managed to mess up ordering the labs correctly every single time and they only had to do it three times. They don’t care about their patients health, time, or convenience. I will be switching care as soon as possible.

The care ( I use that term loosely) I received at U of M gastroenterology department was frankly awful. The doctor I saw told me he had 7,000 patients. I sense he was setting me up to have low expectations. I am sorry I had any expectations at all as the “care” I did get was shamefully inadequate. Scheduling is an utter nightmare. Based on my experience, I would have to dissuade anyone from attempting to get treatment there. Apparently, for people dealing with UC, the entire system in the gastroenterology department is overs... read more

They are scheduling people a to be seen over half a year out. That is ridiculous. I have a medical emergency and I have to wait half a year to be seen and I'm in a lot of pain and I can't go to the bathroom unless I'm taking stool softeners and laxatives. I have something obstructing my stool from passing through and it causes pain. I hope it isn't cancer in my colon... half a year. U of M should be better that this. Ridiculous.

A 0 is too high, and I haven’t even been there yet. I was assigned to a P-A Daniella Shock rather than an MD. My first A2 visit was changed to a video visit which was canceled a day before with no reason given. Her next available appointment is a Feb.14 video chat. I feel jerked around and not taken seriously. I have severe Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. I was hoping UM would have ideas on new treatment options. That remains to be seen as I can’t even get in the door, so to speak. I am most disappointed and frustrated an... read more

The only Michigan Answer™ I received from this GI clinic is why Ohio hates us so much because now I do too. US News ranked UM Health the #1 hospital in Michigan. If this is true we, as a state, should be ashamed of ourselves. I received nothing from this clinic that I couldn't have from a mediocre urgent care. Save your time, gas, money, and sanity.
