very cute place, lots of antiques to browse food is ok, ambiance is great
I enjoy coming to this place about once or twice a year with friends from out of town. Highly recommend. My only criticism is that they should change up the sandwiches.
This is my favorite tea house. I have been coming here since I was a girl with my mother. The food is always fresh, the staff kind, and the decor quaint. My only complaint is that nothing has changed in at least a decade. The menu, the tea sets, none if it has any variety. Which makes if fun outing once or twice but much more than that and it looses interest. With the number of tines I have been there, I'm starting to get bored of having the same thing over and over for the last ten years.
A couple of girlfriends and I went to tea at Tyme and we had a fabulous experience... though it was a little hot inside! The place itself is so whimsical, quaint, and cute, and wearing a fancy hat, selected out of the claw-footed tub that holds a bevy of beautiful knoggin toppers that'll transport you back to an era of luxuriating over tiny sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and homemade jam with your imaginary friends (now real) and dolls, is well worth the journey!
What a fun place to meet and dawdle over a pot of tea and sammies! A bit pricy, the tea was good and the snacks were tasty, but this is not the spot of you are really hungry. I loved the wild assortment of tea cups & pots for sale in the shop attached to the restaurant.
This has become our tradition when I visit my mom and sisters in the Bay Area! Love it!
