Warning: Additional fees for length/ thickness of hair! I bought a Groupon for $19 and went in for a trim/ cut/ blow dry. I had 4 or 5 inches cut off (per my request) but was told that they charge an additional $10 depending on length of cut and thickness of hair. I have ALOT of hair, and even though I have never before been charged an additional fee for the thickness, I can slightly understand due to the extra labor. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say what a WONDERFUL salon this is! From the time I made my appointment to the time I left the ladies at this salon were AMAZING! The receptionist was very helpful when making my appointment and was terrific while I was there. She greeted me with a smile, made small talk and offered me a beverage. Went to this salon today. I used a groupon for a foil and haircut. I didn't know what to expect. It ended up being one of the best cuts and colors I've had! I loved my stylist. Turned out we had a lot in common and she was fun to talk to. The time flew by and since it's Saturday I'm going to take my new hair and go out!! With or without a groupon I highly recommend them!!! As a hairstylist of 10 years, I have had a difficult time finding a good stylist since I've moved states. I found a groupon and thought I'd give Tyler Day Salon a try... My stylist's name was Robin. I"m not sure if it's because I had a groupon or what, but she was so rude and obviously didn't like her job. I was not greeted with a hello, an introduction or even a smile. Went to this salon for the first time yesterday. New to the area and needed something before I started a new job. Very friendly staff! They gave me suggestions of places to check out and helped me with navigating. I got a nice (and free!) glass of wine while I got my hair cut. Aside from the people being nice I absolutely love my cut! I gave it a day because it always looks good when I leave the salon but once I go home and do it myself it usually isn't as great. I've been going to this salon for about 3 years now and I love it!!! The woman that works the front desk is amazing. I walk in and she knows my name, knows my family, asks if I want anything to drink, and checks in with me during my appointment. My stylist is awesome. I have NEVER left without being happy. My color is always what I want and she has given me haircuts that are easy for me to do at home also. My usual service is foils and a cut and I consistently get compliments when I'm out. I wish I would have read Rupal R.'s review before I bought my groupon and wasted $100. I have had one other Keratin treatment on my very thick, curly, frizzy hair & it was amazing!! My hair was smooth, shiny & straight when the treatment was done!!! When I left Tyler Day Salon, my hair was not entirely straight, dull & sticky!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Wondering why? 1) I got a Keratin hair treatment done last week. Trust me when I say this - my hair did not change at all!!! I basically just wasted $100 (I had a groupon) They did put in something, flat ironed it etc, but I'm guessing they use fake products or something. Skip this place... – I recently went to Tyler Day Salon for the first time, and was not too impressed with their customer service. I found that the receptionist was a little rude. I thought that maybe she was having a bad day or that maybe it was because I was a first-time client, but she didn't even say thank-you when I paid and was ready to leave.
