I hired Two Marines to take care of my move. I have a 3 bedroom townhouse with A LOT OF STUFF!!! They sent out a crew of three strong men, and they were done in 7 hours. These guys were really nice and never let up, even though it was like 95 degrees outside. I will definately be hiring them again ( but hopefully will not be moving anytime soon.)
This was the worst experience I have ever had. First, their policy of shrink wrapping every single item was over the top. Especially since they wrapped every single plastic wheel on a plastic chair, but left the Tiffany lamps to be hand carried! I also paid 1K for them to pack me. I told them if there were items they couldnt pack (i.e. cleaning supplies) to set them aside and I would take care of them. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! RUDE! UNRESPONSIVE! UNPROFESSIONAL! The owner NICK has not responded to my wife in over a month. She has emailed, called him repeated since our move in August for damage that was done to our furniture. This shows a lack of respect and integrity! Avoid this company like the SWINE FLU! They are non responsive with damage claims. We will pursue legal route, word of mouth, bad reviews on sites and blogging. DO not even bother with this company! They are HORRIBLE! The team that was assigned to my move in Alexandria on the Friday before Memorial day were top notch. Props to Jose and Dan especially for a great can do attitude in spite of the job running over the alotted time in the original quote. Despite a bit of a slow start since I was moving a grand piano and they didnt have the tools at hand, they bought them and from that point on they went out of their way to accommodate. Absolutely Wonderful!! - I couldn't have been more pleased/satisfied with my move. The four former service men that handled my move were absolutely wonderful ' polite, mannerly, and professional. My move required two trucks and four movers and took approximately four hours to load all of my belongings from a three-level, four-bedroom townhouse into the moving trucks. I found a listing for Two Marines and a Truck on Angies List and reached out to them because they were rated so highly. I clicked the link and was sent to their site where I became instantly impressed with what they did and the fact that there appeared to be flexibility on their part. I sent an email on Tuesday evening, 5/11/10 and heard back from them on Thursday, 5/13/10. This company moved furniture for a small 3 bedroom house. The move required transfer from the suburbs to a location on a mountain near the Shenandoah National Park. The road to the house is a gravel road with major switchbacks ending in a narrow driveway. The home is a small 100-year-old house with narrow stairs and small rooms.
