I went out there to activate a State Park for others with the aim of communicating and using portable radio gear. It is a great area with undercover seating, BBQ, Toilet and firepit areas set aside. You need to purchase a NSWPW pass to be able to access this and other areas, even though it is free. Rego plate number is the key.
Fun drive when visiting the area. Definitely best in an off road capable vehicle as it's several km of fire trails to access. Surprisingly good facilities for essentially the middle of nowhere
