Great food, fish tacos w/rice & beans for my hubby & I had roast turkey, bacon, avocado & roasted red pepper sandwich w/ hand cut fries. Also awesome carrot cake! Great server too.
The food is always on point, the service is always bad in the back where they have the bands. End up ordering most drinks from the bar, have to find someone to take your order and after bringing food they never come back. No water refills, or ask if you want more drinks or dessert, and don't take away dishes. We will continue to go but may skip the food, get our own drinks and save our tips. The service is consistently poor.
Our table tried a variety of foods and micro brews from the summer menu, all of which we enjoyed. We had efficient service & our servers were friendly & helpful. The only problem we encountered was trying to get out of our parking space due to people parking along the retaining wall for the RR tracks - we weren't the only ones blocked in. On busy days parking has been an issue at that location since it was Payton's.

Before I moved to Louisiana 3 years ago this was one of my favorite places to eat. If you want to drink or have an event maybe you can be impressed but I was not. They've lost their creativity and attention to detail with the food and it shows in the level of business on a Friday night. Three years ago it was packed; now it's practically empty. Scratch off my list of places to eat on my next trip to Chicagoland
My wife and I ate here yesterday for the first time. To say the least we really enjoyed the experience! The food was great along with the beer choices on draft. The wait staff were awesome along with being knowledgeable about the history of the roundhouse. Really cool way to use the structure! We will definitely be back!!
