Dropped my brother off to fly out for basic training. One of the biggest decisions was his "last supper" I googled a couple of different places in the area but this one kind of stuck out to me. For my brothers "last supper" it was great! The burgers were amazing, friend green tomatoes were a hit, service and atmosphere was 100%.

We sometimes make a trip from Ashdown Arkansas to Shreveport for the sole purpose of eating at the Root. Never disappoints.

Such a great, casual atmosphere to have a couple beers and a great burger. Tip: stop by on Monday nights for trivia, always a great time. Pro tip: unless you say otherwise, burgers are cooked medium-well, so speak up if you like 'em juicy. Expert tip: TR burgers taste even better with a Great Raft beer.

I had the boar burger with fried egg and bacon. It was delicious. I'm not a fried green tomato guy but theirs are pretty awesome. Definitely worth going back to sometime.
This was hands down, the BEST burger I have ever eaten in my life. I had the Buffalo Verde. We drove over an hour to try this place out and we will make the drive again, I promise u that.
