The thai food we were missing! – After moving from a larger city with more authentic Thai food, we were disappointed by the overly sweet and flavorless Thai we found in Durham. That is until Twisted Noodles! This place is fabulous, and has dishes to please both those who always order Pad Thai and the more adventurous. Occasionally excellent We eat at Twisted Noodle once or twice a month. When the chef is on, it is clearly the best Thai food in town. Spicy, balanced and delicious. When the chef is off... it's mediocre, spicy without a lot of flavor. The tom kah soup is ALWAYS good, so so start there and then branch out.
Very good food for the value – I have been to this restaurant many times and all of my friends love the food!! Their food is very good and inexpensive. Highly recommended for a casual outing with friends or co-workers.
I love this restaurant, BUT their service is very inconsistent. – My fiance' and I eat at this restaurant frequently. We love their food...it's very authentic and they have a large, varied menu. Good value – I went there the first time about 9 months ago and I got below average noodle soup with the slowest and absent-minded service. I've been back a few times since, and I think the food is pretty decent these days(it'll be a while before I order another noodle soup, though...) and the service has improved. As long as that waitress isn't there, I'll probably be happy. Um...yummy!! – I actually did not realize this restaurant was there. Or that it was Thai at first. But I went there today to check it out since we have not had a good Thai restaurant here in Durham for years. I ordered the Pineapple fried rice which was absolutely outstanding! Delicious, friendly, convenient – I love twisted noodle!!! It is in a strip mall off university drive but the food is wonderful. I can't say its the "most authentic," since I don't know what authentic is, but it is highly delicious. I only wish they wouldn't serve Pepsi products-blah! try the fried tofu. Yum. One of the best noodle places in Triangle Area – I have been on the hunt for great noodles in this area and these are the best noodles around. I have been to Thailand and had authentic Thai food, and this is the closest I have had in this area. It is especially difficult to get great soup noodles - the Tom Yum Chili Oil noodles were the right amount of spiciness and were also very flavorful. Excellent Thai Food – This place was recommended to me by a Thai friend of mine as having the most authentic Thai food in the Triangle. Although no expert on authentic Thai food myself, I was more than impressed my personal favorite dishes. I am always on the lookout for a good Pad See Euw and their version did not disappoint.
