Friendly, family owned and operated, great fuel prices, nice flight school with competent instructors, nice t-hangars, great maintenance shop on the premises, STRONG sense of community. Somebody is always around. A fun place to be based!
I’ve been flying there since it was a short dirt strip in the early 70’s. For many years it’s been well-maintained, paved and lighted. Now there are a couple hundred aircraft based there, mostly in t-hangars. Love the Stark family and their friendly service. Good rental fleet at good rates. Inexpensive Avgas. Good aircraft maintenance services. Good flying community - like family. Great EAA monthly pancake breakfast.
Always a good experience and more than fair prices on fuel, rentals, instruction and EAA breakfast!
